Hummus Bowl with Spiced Ground Beef and Herb Salad Recipe

The Spiced Ground Beef:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 shallot finely diced
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cinnamon
- salt
- olive oil
To serve:
- olive oil
- sumac
- ground cumin
- flaky salt
- olives pitted and torn in half
- pita chips or warm pita bread
Cook The Spiced Ground Beef: Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and let it cook for 1–2 minutes, breaking it up. Add the diced shallot, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, and a generous pinch of salt. Cook until the beef is browned and crisp around the edges. Remove from heat and set aside.
Make Your Herb Salad: In a bowl, toss your herbs with the quick pickled red onions, a squeeze of lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Plate Up Your Hummus Bowl: Spoon a generous amount of hummus into a shallow bowl. Top with the warm spiced beef, herb salad, and torn olives. Season with ground cumin, sumac, and flaky salt. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
Serve with homemade pita chips or warm pita on the side.
